LAKE COMO LOCATION
Lake Como is a town located on the Jersey Shore between Belmar and Spring Lake. It was originally formed as the borough of South Belmar. It's name change became effective in 2005.
The Borough of Lake Como is home to various styles of homes with a median home price of just over $400,000. It has a current population of nearly 1800 residents and 785 households. Lake Como is a non-operating school district and students are currently served by the Belmar School District which houses a k-12 elementary. High School Students attend either Manasquan High School or Asbury Park High School as part of shared sending/receiving relationship.
The town is surrounded by picturesque beaches, parks, and the Belmar Marina. The town offers shops, restaurants, and local businesses. The town has a recreation department which provides various activities including basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer, etc.

Lake Como is a non-operating school district. Elementary aged students attend the Belmar School District which consists of a single public school, Belmar Elementary School, for grades PreK-8, enrolling approximately 565 students per year. For high school, public school students attend Manasquan High School or Asbury Park High School. In addition, Lake Como students can attend Red Bank Regional High School, or one of the five academy nationally-ranked schools in the Monmouth County Vocational School District. There are also a variety of private and parochial schools at both the elementary and high school levels in the immediate area.

Located approximately 60 miles from New York City, Lake Como is served by several public and private transportation operations.
Lake Como is located along the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line, and is conveniently located near the Belmar train station which hosts its own station. This line runs from Bayhead, NJ, in the south to Hoboken, NJ, Newark Penn Station, and New York City Penn Station and connects riders to Amtrack and Newark Airport.
Lake Como is served by NJ Transit Buses with routes throughout New Jersey.
